<p>Piper Companies is looking for an Accessibility Test Engineer to join a leading technology organization on site Monday through Friday in San Jose, CA to ensure digital products meet accessibility standards across platforms and assistive technologies. The ideal Accessibility Test Engineer has a strong understand of WCAG 2.1 & 2.2, and Section 508.</p> <p>Responsibilities for the Accessibility Test Engineer:</p> <ul> <li>Conduct hands-on accessibility testing across desktop (Windows/Mac), web (all major browsers), and mobile platforms (iOS/Android). </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, document, and remediate accessibility issues. </li><li>Utilize assistive technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack to validate user experiences. </li><li>Be a key contributor in driving inclusive design and development practices across the organization. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications for the Accessibility Test Engineer:</p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience as an Accessibility Test Engineer </li><li>Strong understanding of WCAG 2.1 & 2.2, Section 508 compliance; familiarity with EN 301 549 is a plus. </li><li>Hands-on experience testing with assistive technologies (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack). </li><li>Proficiency in accessibility testing across desktop apps, web apps, and mobile apps. </li><li>Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance. </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field </li></ul> <p>Compensation/Benefits for Accessibility Test Engineer:</p> <ul> <li>Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 annually depending on experience. </li><li>Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave (as required by law), and Holidays. </li></ul> <p>This job opens for applications on August 5, 2025.
