<p>Position Overview:</p> <p>The Governance Analyst will be responsible for assisting the Governance Team in supporting and enabling HomeServe's projects and programs within HomeServe's PMO. This role requires basic understanding of project management methodology and a desire to broaden knowledge and experience in the field, including how projects and work assignments fit into the overall business strategy. This role requires a person who can work independently to accomplish the goals and objectives of the given projects. In this role you will work closely with Portfolio Managers, Project Managers, Governance Managers, business SMEs, and financial partners to provide visibility into key performance indicators (KPIs) needed by the leadership team for effective management of capital project investments.</p> <p>In addition to business led projects, the Analyst needs to understand current and future state business processes, as well as document business/system requirements and rules regarding improvement of business processes.</p> <p>The Governance Analyst will be responsible for ensuring consistent, standardized, high-quality reporting deliverables relative to project and portfolio performance accordance with best-practice processes established by the PMO.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Work closely with Governance and subject matter experts (SME) to scope and determine needs regarding business processes and functionality. </li><li>Assist project managers and stakeholders with administrative tasks in project management tools such as PPM Pro and Jira. </li><li>Maintain and update email distros, schedule meetings, and take meeting notes. </li><li>Work closely with other PMO staff to keep projects moving forward to meet pressing business deadlines. </li><li>Analyze, review, and document current processes and tool functionality to determine potential areas of improvement. </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <p>Essential Job Function</p> <p>% of Time on Function</p> <p>Assists in documenting and implementing governance standards</p> <p>25%</p> <p>Monitoring compliance with established governance guidelines</p> <p>50%</p> <p>Monitors and analyzes PMO trends</p> <p>10%</p> <p>Stakeholder communication</p> <p>10%</p> <p>Identifying and resolving general day-to-day governance concerns</p> <p>5%</p> <p>Total</p> <p>100%</p> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent experience preferred. </li><li>Self-motivated, strong attention to detail, and results driven. </li><li>Desire to gain deeper understanding of project management methodologies. </li><li>Willingness to embrace new challenges and take advantage of training opportunities. </li><li>Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and preferred experience with Planview PPM Pro and Jira. </li><li>Outstanding writing & communication skills. </li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and able to work and make decisions in a fast-past environment. </li><li>Is aware of, and shows understanding and respect for, other people's needs and actions. Values individual differences. </li><li>Able to juggle priorities and can concentrate on several areas of work at one time. </li><li>Able to think ahead to establish an efficient and appropriate course of action for self and others. </li><li>Travel as needed. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Physical Requirements:</p> <p>The physical demands described represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
