<p>Job Summary</p> <p>Trade Management is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician with strong technical expertise in industrial generators, electrical power distribution, and wastewater treatment facility systems. This role is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical equipment and controls in industrial environments, with a focus on process critical systems such as pumps, motors, instrumentation, automated controls, and backup power generation.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Electrical Installation & Maintenance</p> <ul> <li>Install, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial electrical systems up to applicable voltage levels. </li><li>Perform maintenance and repairs on generators, ATS units, transfer switches, switchgear, and power distribution equipment. </li><li>Maintain and repair wastewater treatment electrical systems, including: </li><li>Lift stations </li><li>Aeration motors </li><li>Pumps and pump controls </li><li>Blowers </li><li>Process instrumentation </li><li>SCADA/PLC controlled equipment </li></ul> <p>Troubleshooting & Diagnostics</p> <ul> <li>Diagnose electrical issues using meters, schematics, and blueprints. </li><li>Troubleshoot control panels, PLCs, VFDs, relays, sensors, and motor starters. </li><li>Identify root causes of electrical faults and perform corrective actions. </li></ul> <p>Preventive & Predictive Maintenance</p> <ul> <li>Conduct scheduled maintenance on generators, electrical panels, and wastewater process equipment. </li><li>Test and verify system reliability, grounding, load balancing, and protective devices. </li><li>Ensure equipment performance meets regulatory and operational standards. </li></ul> <p>Safety & Compliance</p> <ul> <li>Follow NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and facility safety protocols. </li><li>Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures for energized equipment. </li><li>Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and service reports. </li></ul> <p>Technical & Operational Support</p> <ul> <li>Assist operations teams with electrical upgrades, retrofits, and system improvements. </li><li>Support installation and commissioning of new equipment, automation, and monitoring systems. </li><li>Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and plant operators as needed. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>3-5+ years of industrial electrical experience preferred. </li><li>Experience working in wastewater treatment plants or utilities required/preferred. </li><li>Strong knowledge of industrial generators, ATS systems, switchgear, and backup power distribution. </li><li>Familiarity with PLC, SCADA, VFDs, and control systems. </li><li>Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and P&IDs. </li><li>Understanding of electrical codes and safety practices (NEC, NFPA 70E). </li><li>Valid driver's license; ability to pass background and drug screening. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Certifications</p> <ul> <li>Journeyman Electrician License (Virginia) Preffered </li><li>Wastewater Treatment Facility Operator License (bonus, not required) </li><li>OSHA 10/30 </li><li>NFPA 70E training (not required/Preferred) </li><li>Generator manufacturer certifications a plus (Cummins, CAT, Kohler, etc.) </li></ul> <p>Physical & Work Environment Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform work on ladders, elevated areas, and confined spaces. </li><li>Work performed in industrial, wastewater, and outdoor environments. </li><li>Availability for on?call, emergency, or after-hours service as needed. </li></ul> <p>Soft Skills</p> <ul> <li>Strong problem-solving and decision making abilities. </li><li>Clear communication with operators, supervisors, and team members. </li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Dental insurance </li><li>Health insurance </li><li>Vision insurance </li></ul> <p>Peoplelink LLC, a leader in the staffing industry for the past 33 years, continues our vision of 'linking' communities through employment.
