In the lab setting, offers additional support and coaching to students, focusing on skill development without direct evaluation. Required Field of Study</p> <p>Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)</p> <p>Other Required Qualifications</p> <p>Minimum of three (3) years of full-time experience as a Registered Nurse providing direct patient care in a health care facility.</p> <p>Required License/Certification</p> <p>Current Registered Nurse license in FL in good standing.</p> <p>CPR certification at the Health Care Provider level.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Preferred Education & Field of Study</p> <p>Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Nursing Education.</p> <p>Preferred Type of Experience</p> <p>Experience working with undergraduate nursing students in clinical settings and/or prior experience in precepting or clinical supervision.</p> <p>Preferred Licenses/Certification</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</p> <ol> <li> <p>Knowledge of nursing principles and ability to model professional behaviors while supervising students in safe, ethical, and evidence-based patient care.</p> </li><li> <p>Skill in assessing clinical performance, maintaining documentation, and providing constructive feedback and academic support.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to design and coordinate meaningful clinical experiences and student assignments, including client/case selection, in collaboration with faculty and clinical sites.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with students, faculty, and clinical partners, and to participate in meetings and program initiatives.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of nursing standards, accreditation requirements, and institutional policies, with a commitment to professional integrity and compliance.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving skills to support safe, effective patient care and student learning.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to engage in physically demanding clinical work, including prolonged activity, assisting with patient mobility, and performing hands-on procedures requiring visual acuity, fine motor skills, and sensory responsiveness.</p> </li></ol> <p>Working Conditions</p> <p>General Working Conditions</p> <p>This job primarily operates in clinical and hospital environments, with some responsibilities carried out in laboratory settings. The employee will routinely use standard medical equipment, including but not limited to patient monitors, infusion pumps, and ECG machines. They may also occasionally use lab- and office-related equipment such as microscopes, diagnostic tools, computers, keyboards, a mouse, phones, and other instructional technologies. The role may involve exposure to bloodborne pathogens, bodily fluids, and hazardous materials typically encountered in healthcare settings. While performing the duties of this job, the work environment may have moderate to high noise levels, particularly in areas with active patient monitoring equipment or during clinical activities.</p> <p>Typical physical competencies include, but are not limited to, frequently standing and walking while supervising nursing students, assisting with patient care, and demonstrating clinical techniques. Sitting may occur occasionally during documentation, evaluations, or meetings. This job requires frequent use of hands for handling medical equipment, performing procedures, and providing instruction. The employee may occasionally need to reach, bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch when assisting students or retrieving items from lower areas. They may also need to lift or carry items up to 20-30 pounds, such as medical equipment or supplies, as well as assist with patient care and movement.</p> <p>This job also entails frequently communicating, discerning and exchanging information, detecting and perceiving objects up close, at a distance, and the ability to adjust focus. Cognitive abilities include, but are not limited to, frequently using discretion, judgment, reasoning, memory, learning, comprehension, problem solving, and decision-making.
