<p>St. Lawrence Catholic School - Tampa, FL</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>We are seeking an Elementary School Counselor to support the academic and social-emotional development of students in an elementary school setting. The Counselor will provide counseling services, crisis intervention, and guidance to students, as well as collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create a supportive and inclusive school environment.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in School Counseling or related field </li><li>State certification or licensure as a School Counselor </li><li>Experience working with elementary school-aged children in a counseling capacity </li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills </li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment </li><li>Knowledge of counseling techniques and best practices in student support </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide individual and group counseling to students with academic, social, or behavioral concerns </li><li>Develop and implement comprehensive school counseling programs to support student success </li><li>Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students in need of support services </li><li>Collaborate with teachers, parents, and outside organizations to address student needs </li><li>Assist in crisis intervention and conflict resolution as needed </li><li>Promote a positive school climate through character education and social-emotional learning initiatives </li><li>Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with legal and ethical standards </li><li>Stay current on trends and best practices in school counseling through professional development opportunities </li></ul> <p>Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a Level II Background Screening.</p>
