<p>Posting Number S359P Working Title Assistant Director of TRiO Student Support Services FLSA Exempt Pay Grade Non-Classified Advertised Salary $56,000 Position Status Full Time Appointment Length 12 Months Department TRIO Student Support Services Job Summary/Basic Function</p> <p>To Assist the Director of TRiO Programs with the operation of the TRiO Student Support Services Program.</p> <p>Position is grant-funded and continuation is contingent upon ongoing funding from the U.S. Department of Education.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in higher education, student affairs, counseling, or related field (years of experience may substitute) </li><li>Minimum one year of prior professional experience in admissions and record of supervision. </li><li>Demonstrated experience of communicating effectively both verbally and in writing. </li><li>Ability to travel, including evening and overnight events </li><li>Experience with Banner Student Information System (SIS) and TargetX CRM (Salesforce) or similar SIS or CRM </li><li>Excellent customer service skills </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Teaching experience preferably at the collegiate level. </li><li>Two years of supervisory experience. </li><li>Coaching and teambuilding experience to help motivate students. </li><li>Demonstrated experience with preparing data reports. </li></ul> <p>Posting Date 02/16/2026 Close Date Special Instructions Summary</p> <p>Position is grant-funded and continuation is contingent upon ongoing funding from the U.S. Department of Education.</p> <p>Appointment to this position will be contingent upon a satisfactory background check.</p> <p>We believe in work-life balance and keeping time for things we love outside our work. S. Department of Education's reporting system. </li><li>Monitor the academic progress of program participants by considering instructor and tutor input and maintaining contact with program participants. </li><li>Assist program participants in the exploration of career options. </li><li>Participates in identifying and selecting students for participation in the TRIO/SSS program. </li><li>Administers diagnostic tools and examines data to determine individual service needs. </li><li>Provides assistance to TRIO SSS students in the area of financial aid/literacy issues. </li><li>Coordinate and administer specialized workshops for student participants. </li><li>Provides assistance to SSS students in developing an Individualized Success Plan. </li><li>Process faculty Early Alerts with participants, advise and report as necessary. </li><li>Direct students to appropriate resources in the University and community. </li><li>Acts as a liaison between the student, faculty advisor, staff, administration and other campus departments. </li><li>Maintains a caseload of up to 85 SSS participants. </li><li>Supervises all program graduate assistants, tutors, internship students and peer educators. </li><li>Assists the Director of TRIO Programs with the implementation of the Summer Academy. </li><li>Promotes positive institutional climate by serving on campus committees as requested. </li><li>Teaches the FYEX 102 TRIO course each year. </li><li>Provides leadership of the SSS program in the absence of the Director. </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned by the TRIO/SSS Director. </li><li>Supervises the ambassador program coordinator and supervises the administration of the ambassador program. </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li><li>Position is grant-funded and continuation is contingent upon ongoing funding from the U.S. Department of Education. </li></ul>
