<p>Overview</p> <p>FWI is building a team to provide highly skilled information technology engineering subject-matter expert support services to support, implement, operate, maintain, and enhance the technologies within the IRS Enterprise Operations (EOPS) Network Engineering business unit. As a Senior Computer Network Support Architect, you will design and implement network architecture solutions for enterprise network infrastructure across public, private, and hybrid environments.</p> <p>FWI has been recognized as a Top Workplace by the Washington Post in 2024 and 2025, offering excellent growth opportunities in a collaborative environment.</p> <p>Position is contingent upon contract award</p> <p>Work Schedule and Location:</p> <p>On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday,8am to 5pm at the IRS ECC office in Martinsburg, WV.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Design logical network architecture and review network topologies </li><li>Implement network virtualization technologies including VLANs and VRFs </li><li>Configure and optimize routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) for network efficiency </li><li>Manage IP Address Management (IPAM) and DNS/DHCP configuration </li><li>Implement network security policies and ensure compliance with IRS security protocols </li><li>Develop and maintain network documentation and diagrams </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field </li><li>Cisco Certified Architect (CCA) at minimum </li><li>AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect certifications are a plus </li><li>Minimum of five years of experience in network architecture, design, and implementation </li><li>Proven expertise in managing and deploying systems across public, private, and hybrid environments </li><li>Strong understanding of virtualization technologies and containers (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) </li><li>Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible </li><li>Experience with network architecture, cost optimization, and high availability architectures </li></ul> <p>FWI is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability/vets.</p> <p>Why Join Our Team</p> <p>At FWI, we place the highest importance on creating an exceptional employee experience.
