<p>Electrical Engineer - MEP Design</p> <p>Location: Morristown, NJ</p> <p>About the Role</p> <p>We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a growing MEP firm known for its collaborative culture and hands-on approach. In this role, you'll work on a wide range of projects-including office spaces, restaurants, medical facilities, and industrial plants-while gaining exposure to all phases of design and construction.</p> <p>This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who values flexibility, ownership, and meaningful project involvement.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Design and produce electrical drawings and engineering documents using AutoCAD (Revit a plus) </li><li>Coordinate electrical systems in accordance with NEC codes and industry standards </li><li>Prepare electrical evaluations, cost estimates, reports, and specifications </li><li>Collaborate with architects, owners, contractors, and MEP disciplines </li><li>Conduct site visits, surveys, and job site observations </li><li>Support construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, and shop drawing reviews </li><li>Assist with proposals, scopes, budgets, schedules, and client meetings </li><li>Manage multiple assignments independently and meet project deadlines </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required</p> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer with an MEP firm </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering </li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of MEP electrical design and NEC codes </li><li>Strong coordination, communication, and report-writing skills </li><li>Ability to design projects with limited supervision </li><li>U.S. work authorization required (no visa sponsorship) </li></ul> <p>Preferred</p> <ul> <li>4+ years of MEP electrical engineering experience </li><li>Lighting design experience </li><li>Familiarity with permit applications and regulatory submissions </li></ul> <p>Work Environment & Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Highly flexible work hours (start before 9:30 AM; 40+ hours/week) </li><li>Small, close-knit team with very low turnover </li><li>Full exposure to projects from start to finish </li><li>Comprehensive benefits available, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, bonuses, and profit sharing (eligibility dependent) </li><li>Contract-to-hire opportunity </li></ul> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newark, NJ.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $40.07 - $60.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
