<p>Work Location: Itasca</p> <p>Itasca, IL</p> <p>Due to the highly interactive nature of this manufacturing position, in-person attendance and flexibility are essential for supporting production schedules, effective communication and collaboration, real-time problem solving, and participation in cross-functional initiatives. Schedules may vary and are subject to change.</p> <p>Want to make an impact?</p> <p>Responsible for managing the flow of all finished product in to and out of the plant to include: Production and inbound shipments receipts, customer shipments, interplant shipments, inter-warehouse shipments and special shipments. Supervises hourly employees in support of storage, production supply, inventory and shipping functions as well as the outlying functions of quality inspections, equipment upkeep, maintenance and sanitation.</p> <p>Ways you will make a difference</p> <ul> <li>Manage personnel for safe and efficient finished product warehousing, production supply, outside storage, special packaging, and all inbound and outbound shipments </li><li>Ensures inventory controls are in place to ensure inventory accuracy </li><li>Provide safe, sanitary (Housekeeping Program) and secure plant </li><li>Services finished product away from all production operations </li><li>Maintain dock and storage facilities in an orderly organized manner </li><li>Ensure proper loading and unloading of trailers </li><li>Working with other departments for continuous improvements </li><li>Controls assigned shipping location for each customer, intra and interplant shipment </li><li>Ensures adherence to safety and GMP policies and standards </li><li>Performs other work-related duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Skills that will make you successful</p> <ul> <li>Excellent organization skills </li><li>Ability to prioritize, balance workload, and meet deadlines in timely fashion </li><li>Collaboration skills and ability to work with inter-departmental teams </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communications skills </li></ul> <p>Experiences that will support your success</p> <ul> <li>3-5 years of relevant experience in similar field </li><li>Bachelor's degree preferred </li><li>Basic experience of Microsoft Office and SAP </li><li>Understanding of relevant standards of compliance (AIB, SQF, etc) </li></ul> <p>What We Offer</p> <p>At Ferrara, we're proud to support our employees by providing comprehensive benefits such as health insurance, dental insurance, a 401(k), and paid time off (PTO).
