As a Manufacturing Tooling Specialist, you will design, maintain, and troubleshoot tooling equipment to support production efficiency and quality. This is a direct-hire opportunity.</p> <p>Benefits Package</p> <ul> <li>401(k) </li><li>401(k) Matching </li><li>Health insurance </li><li>Dental insurance </li><li>Paid time off </li></ul> <p>Shift Information</p> <ul> <li>Monday to Friday | 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM </li></ul> <p>Required Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience as a Jig and Tool Maker or in a similar role within the automotive or manufacturing industry </li><li>Proficiency in using manual and CNC machines, such as lathes, mills, grinders, and other machining tools </li></ul> <p>General Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Strong knowledge of tooling materials, precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.), and automotive manufacturing processes </li><li>Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints </li><li>Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team </li><li>Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards </li><li>Maintain effective communication skills </li><li>Comply with OSHA annual requirements </li><li>Demonstrate proper 5S and safety skills </li><li>Assist in training less experienced workers and attend Train the Trainer courses </li><li>Support supervisors as needed </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Understand Koyo production departments, their functions, and tooling requirements </li><li>Assist other departments with tooling-related issues </li><li>Apply problem-solving techniques to reduce work time and costs </li><li>Use trigonometry to calculate hole locations, compound settings, and tapers </li><li>Design and build tools, jigs, and fixtures, including material selection </li><li>Perform oil, water, and air hardening and proper heat treatment processes </li><li>Conduct basic welding and brazing </li><li>Perform shape grinding on surface grinders and properly use borazon and diamond wheels </li><li>Maintain tolerances within specifications </li><li>Train others as required </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li>Ability to stand for extended periods </li><li>Lift up to 50 lbs </li><li>Work with precision tools in a manufacturing environment </li></ul>
