As a level one traumacenter, we work closely with our multidisciplinary teams to provide high quality, patient centered care. In addition, this unit sees a wide variety of acutely ill patients who may requireadditionalacute therapies. Our nurses are experts in caring for these patient populations and are continuously enhancing their knowledge to ensure we are up to date with the latest practices and technologies.We, as members of this team, are committed to the delivery of safe, high-quality care to our patients and their families.</p> <p>The Surgical Intensive Care Unit offers a professional pathway for those nurses looking to build their resume and progress in their career.</p> <p>Lahey Hospital & Medical Center utilizes EPIC for computerized charting and medication administration. Computerized self-scheduling is available along with every third weekend rotation.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>BSN preferred</p> </li><li> <p>BLS required ACLS certification preferred</p> </li><li> <p>At least 1 year of previous of Nursing experience in acute care or sub-acute setting required</p> </li><li> <p>Critical Care and Telemetry experience preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Massachusetts registered Nurse license required.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills</p> </li><li> <p>Lifting 75 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs</p> </li></ul> <p>As a health care organization, we have a responsibility to do everything in our power to care for and protect our patients, our colleagues and our communities.
