<p>This Opportunity</p> <p>WSP is seeking a Natural Resources Senior Project Management in any of our offices within Texas and Louisiana area where you will be involved in projects within our Earth & Environment Team and be a part of a growing organization that solves our clients' challenges.</p> <p>We're looking for a leader with a strong track record in managing complex environmental projects, proven ability to navigate regulatory agency requirements, demonstrated experience with proposal development and business development.</p> <p>To support our expanding portfolio, this role will be focused on Natural Resources and Permitting within the energy and industrial markets. You'll be part of our interdisciplinary team and collaborate with planners, scientists, and engineers across WSP to deliver impactful results for our clients. Come join us and help shape the future!</p> <p>Your Impact</p> <ul> <li>Project Leadership: Lead multidisciplinary teams across complex energy and industrial projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget. </li><li>Natural Resources: Direct and manage teams reviewing anticipated project impacts and avoidance planning considerations for energy and industrial projects, balancing environmental, technical and stakeholder requirements. Lead field and reporting efforts for client deliverables and agencies submittals. </li><li>Permitting Expertise: Oversee all aspects of project permitting, including preparation of applications, coordination with local, state, and federal agencies, and management of public hearings and community engagement initiatives. </li><li>Regulatory Engagement: Foster productive relationships with regulatory agencies and authorities, ensuring projects adhere to all applicable laws, standards, and best practices, including providing strategic advice and direction on state filing requirements. </li><li>Growth and Business Development: Lead/contribute to business development initiatives to grow the business, including identifying opportunities and building/maintaining client relationships. </li><li>Market Analysis: Monitor trends, policy changes, and emerging technologies in the Gulf South's energy landscape; advise on project strategy and business development opportunities. </li><li>Stakeholder Management: Serve as primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including clients, government officials, landowners, and the public. </li><li>Documentation & Reporting: Ensure thorough project documentation, compliance records, and transparent reporting for all phases of the project lifecycle. </li><li>Continuous Improvement: Advocate for innovation and process enhancements, driving operational excellence across all projects. </li><li>Willing to travel within the Gulf South for site visits and attend public meetings. </li></ul> <p>Who You Are</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Planning, Engineering, Environmental Science, Project Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. </li><li>10+ years of experience, including project management, preferably within the energy and industrial sector, with a track record of success in large to small scale energy projects (electric transmission, distribution, generation, renewables, pipeline, or large scale industrial). </li><li>Familiarity with energy and industrial markets dynamics in the Gulf South, including regulatory structures, permitting pathways, and regional infrastructure challenges. </li><li>Ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes and build consensus among diverse groups. </li><li>Exceptional problem-solving skills and a commitment to high-quality outcomes. </li><li>Innovative mindset with a passion for operational efficiency, sustainability, and process improvement. </li><li>Ability to anticipate regulatory or market shifts and adapt strategies accordingly. </li><li>Experience with energy projects or emerging technologies is highly valued. </li><li>Demonstrated success in growing client portfolios, recruiting, and engaging with a dynamic team. </li><li>Demonstrated expertise in permitting, regulatory requirements, analyses, and associated report writing and filings for energy projects in the Gulf South region. </li><li>Experience planning, attending, and participating in public meetings. </li><li>Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements affecting energy and industrial infrastructure, especially within the Gulf South markets. </li><li>Proven ability to manage teams, budgets, schedules, and contractors during all phases of project execution. </li><li>Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. </li><li>Demonstrated experience in development of successful proposals and presentations. </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, defining and understanding client requirements, managing expectations, communicating with clients and project staff. </li></ul> <p>At WSP, we are driven by inspiring the right people to be part of our future-focused business objectives.
