The Safety Manager will play a crucial role in preventing occupational injuries and illnesses across various high-profile projects, including high-rise residential, justice, education, mixed-use, and hospitality projects. This is a full-time, long-term career opportunity with ample growth potential.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Review safety protocols at projects to ensure compliance with company and government standards. </li><li>Provide guidance to project teams and trade partners on following environmental, health, and safety guidelines. </li><li>Act as a subject matter expert on safety-related regulatory and legislative matters. </li><li>Conduct safety orientation training for new team members. </li><li>Conduct or assist with safety and compliance inspections. </li><li>Lead daily site safety meetings. </li><li>Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, employee inquiries, complaints, and suggestions. </li><li>Implement corrective actions and conduct post-incident meetings. </li><li>Complete and maintain all safety, health, and environmental documents for project sites. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 2 years of construction safety experience. </li><li>Experience with OSHA regulations and inspections. </li><li>Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel. </li><li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Degree in Safety and Health field is a plus. </li><li>Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST) or Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification required. </li><li>Certified Safety Professional preferred. </li><li>Experience with OCIP/CCIP preferred. </li><li>First Aid/CPR Instructor preferred. </li><li>Experience with Intelex Data Management System preferred. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The role is based in a construction site job trailer environment and involves working on large projects with values exceeding $100 million. You will report to the Regional Safety Manager and have a dotted line to the General Superintendent.
