<p>Title: Adjunct Faculty - History</p> <p>Application Review Date: Ongoing review</p> <p>Campus Location: Radford City - Main Campus</p> <p>Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor employment visas at this time.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The successful applicant will become part of the History Department's adjunct pool and may have opportunities to teach courses in the department depending on need.</p> <p>Adjunct Faculty positions supplement the faculty of a department wherever additional faculty are needed. Adjunct faculty hold three year appointments, as defined by their letter of appointment without eligibility for tenure; where authorized by the Dean, adjunct appointments may be renewed. Adjunct appointments do not guarantee course assignments.</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>All faculty must have earned at least a Master's degree in the field/discipline in which they are teaching with 18 credit hours of coursework related to the course(s) being taught.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Preference will be given to applicants able to teach U.S. History and available for in person instruction.</p> <p>Special Instructions to Applicants</p> <p>Applicants must submit an unofficial copy of transcripts of post-secondary course work with the application. If the applicant's official transcripts are on file in the Office of the Provost, a statement indicating such, must be submitted in lieu of the documents with the application. Official transcripts of all post-secondary course work will be required upon selection for hire.
