The technician will work directly with our internal IT lead to complete three site installations per day, following a structured 40-45 day schedule.</p> <p>This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technician with strong troubleshooting skills and experience working in fast-paced field environments.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Travel daily with the IT lead to scheduled restaurant locations </li><li>Install, configure, and validate network firewalls </li><li>Physically mount and secure network devices and cabling </li><li>Ensure proper WAN/LAN connectivity and verify cutover success </li><li>Document installation details, network settings, and site validations </li><li>Troubleshoot connectivity or hardware issues on-site </li><li>Communicate status updates and completion reports to the IT lead </li><li>Maintain equipment, tools, and inventory during the rollout </li><li>Provide professional customer service to restaurant managers and staff </li></ul> <p>What We Provide</p> <ul> <li>All tools, equipment, and firewalls needed for deployment </li><li>Comprehensive daily schedule and routing plan </li><li>On-site guidance and mentorship from the IT lead </li><li>Mileage reimbursement for travel </li><li>Opportunity to gain hands-on experience in large-scale IT rollouts </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>1-3 years of IT support, network installation, or field technician experience </li><li>Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, VPN) </li><li>Experience installing firewalls, routers, access points, or similar hardware </li><li>Ability to use basic tools (mounting hardware, cable testers, etc.) </li><li>Valid driver's license and reliable transportation </li><li>Ability to lift 25-40 lbs and work within equipment racks or tight spaces </li><li>Strong documentation and communication skills </li><li>Must be punctual, reliable, and comfortable working independently in the field </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with restaurant, retail, or multi-site technology environments </li><li>Prior experience with Fortinet, Cisco Meraki, SonicWall, or similar firewalls </li><li>Knowledge of structured cabling best practices </li><li>Experience working alongside senior technicians or project leads </li></ul> <p>Salary $40 per hour</p>
