This position will be part of our bargaining unit. There is a $2.00/hour shift differential on 2nd shift.</p> <p>Position Details: The chosen individual will dimensionally inspect components utilizing conventional measuring equipment, machine and indicators, as well as Laser Tracker/Faro Arm/Photogrammetry technology for compliance with drawing and Engineering planning documents. The Laser Tracker/Faro Arm/Photogrammetry activities are performed utilizing detailed Engineering planning documents.</p> <p>The position requires excellent mathematics skills, extensive knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and the ability to interpret Engineering planning and drawings as identified below:</p> <ul> <li>Identify common ASME Y14.5 symbols and terms: datums, basic dimensions, tolerance zones, MMC/LMC, RFS. </li><li>Read simple feature control frames (FCFs) and understand requirements. </li><li>Recognize/interpret basic controls: true position (simple holes), flatness, perpendicularity, parallelism, cylindricity (intro level), profile (basic). </li><li>Understand datum references (A|B|C) and understand application. </li></ul> <p>Experience Needed:</p> <ul> <li>3 - 5 years minimum industrial experience as a journeyman machinist or machine operator. Additional 3 years minimum industrial experience working as a quality control inspector.
