<p>Description</p> <p>Develop, implement and coordinate compliance with federal, state, local and international regulatory requirements applicable to Institution cleaning chemicals, equipment, water-based coatings and bacillus species. Also responsible for providing analysis and support for the company's compliance activities, day-to-day administration of regulatory matters and promoting sound product stewardship. Able to provide technical advice with respect to regulatory affairs to internal team members and our customers. Organize and maintain proper documentation regarding regulatory compliance.</p> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Proof all labels (Betco chemical and equipment, Basic Coatings and Bio-Systems), including accompanying literature, training materials or other written or digital materials for compliance with OSHA, FIFRA, CPSC, OAQPS, FDA, DOT, EPA, USDA, CDC, VOC and any other applicable federal, state, or local specific requirements. </li></ul> <p>o Accuracy of warning statements and first aid statements on labels</p> <p>o Compliance on labels and (M)SDS's according to US and International requirements.</p> <ul> <li>Monitor activities at the federal, state and regional regulatory agencies and supply base to find opportunities for new product development and present findings. </li><li>Monitor, analyze, interpret and present information to senior management concerning regulatory affairs related to current and possible future products. Communicate the information to our internal teams and lead the implementation of such regulatory requirements to ensure compliance. </li><li>Responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of OSHA SDS generation Sphera, raw material SDS database, Chemtrec and assignment of proper BOL codes to products. </li><li>Responsible for, but not limited to, all communication and ensuring compliance of the following: </li></ul> <p>o OSHA, FIFRA, CPSC, OAQPS, FDA, DOT, EPA, USDA, CDC, VOC and any other applicable federal, state, or regional specific requirements.</p> <p>o DOT UN approved container testingo NAFTA classification of chemicals and equipment parts.o Europe - EU REACH regulationso Canadian - Compliance for DIN, CFIA, CEPAo California & Canadian - Nonylphenol phase out regulationso California - Annual SCAQMD AIM Distributor Report and 314 Emissions Reporto California - California Mill assessments for EPA productso Maintain the sub-registrant relationship and coordination with vendorso Letters of guarantee for food establishmentso State and regional compliance in formulation and labeling for Phosphate o Annual EPA state registration</p> <ul> <li>Accountable for monthly, quarterly and annual regulatory reporting and/or fees. </li><li>Communicate to internal/external customer questions and requests for documentation related to regulatory activities </li><li>Complete jurisdictional and/or company specific safety paperwork on behalf of Betco customers as requested. </li><li>Advise and consent role with operations as it pertains to the storage, handling and spill clean-up. </li><li>Attend seminars, conferences and workshops to track new trends in regulatory activities and interact with trade associations and other regulatory professionals. </li><li>Prepares annual regulatory affairs budget. </li><li>Manage direct reports in support of the overall regulatory needs for Betco and Basic Coatings. Reputation for not giving up.</p> <p>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>7-10 years of on-the-job regulatory experience in a chemical/product manufacturing environment. </li><li>Law degree desirable </li><li>4-year college degree in Chemistry, Biology or Environmental Science. </li><li>1 year college math minimum </li><li>Knowledge of Law and Regulations is preferred </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED SKILLS:</p> <ul> <li>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. </li><li>Must be adept at time management. </li><li>Must be self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision. </li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to stand for long periods at a time </li><li>Must be able to life at least 50 pounds </li></ul>
