<p>Job Title: Plant Services Work Study - Summer</p> <p>Location: Marshalltown Community College</p> <p>Department: Plant Services</p> <p>Reports to: Plant Services Campus Supervisor</p> <p>Semester: Summer 2026</p> <p>Number of Openings: 3</p> <p>Rate of Pay: $9.00/hr</p> <p>Schedule: 4 hours per day</p> <p>Summary: The purpose of this position is to assist in keeping buildings and grounds clean, sanitary and operational for use by students and staff. Primary assignment is for campus-owned housing facilities, though daily job duties can shift as needed.</p> <p>Essential Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Prepare campus apartments following resident check-out. This involves: moving furniture, removing trash and other unwanted items, cleaning and sanitizing each space within the apartment (bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living room). </li><li>Performs various building cleaning and sanitizing tasks including vacuuming, dusting, and mopping. </li><li>Provides basic general maintenance services including light bulbs, batteries and light repairs </li><li>Assists with grounds upkeep including mowing, trimming, weeding and tending landscaping. </li></ul> <p>Abilities: Work independently as well as be a team player; exhibit excellent customer service skills; ability to work in an environment of shifting priorities, frequent interruptions and fast pace; ability to interact with fellow students, staff and general public while completing assigned tasks.</p> <p>Education and Experience: HS Diploma or equivalent</p> <p>Iowa Valley Community College District does not discriminate in its programs, activities, or employment on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, creed, religion, actual or potential family, parental or marital status, or other protected classes.
