<p>Position Summary</p> <p>These positions will provide programmatic support in the Remediation and Redevelopment Program under the supervision of the regional team supervisor. The positions are state funded LTE appointments responsible for implementation of management and digitization of permanent site file records for the RR Program in the region. The RPA LTE will also assist the regional EPA FTE on fulfilling public records requests, providing technical assistance to the public and regulated community, and supporting program technical staff. These positions will require occasional travel between worksites.</p> <p>65% Support of Regional Case Management</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for the organization, maintenance and coordination of regional case file records; leading and providing support for the region's digitization effort, including scrubbing, performing optical character recognition (OCR), redacting, naming, and uploading and tracking records appropriately to the program's database - Bureau of Remediation and Redevelopment Tracking System (BRRTS). </li><li>Serve as team member on statewide Program Support Team (PST). Conduct quality assurance projects on uploaded documents and tracked data as assigned. Provide input on PST job aids and recommendations. </li><li>Assist EPA FTE with fulfillment of public records requests. Coordinate in-person record review appointments and/or scanning of requested records as needed. Provide case files to the Statewide Open Records Coordinator as requested. Coordinate review of sensitive files with DNR legal staff as needed. </li><li>Assist region project managers with administrative case work. Provide guidance on tracking, naming conventions, and staging of submittals. Assist with document preparation and other requests. </li></ul> <p>25% Provide technical assistance and programmatic information</p> <ul> <li>Assist the general public, consultants, and members of the regulated community in finding information on contaminated sites via BRRTS on the Web (BOTW), RR Sites Map (RRSM), and other public databases and viewers. Assist customers with interpreting information and/or providing technical contacts for follow-up. Respond to inquiries from customers and colleagues, and provide interpretation of programmatic policies and procedures, as appropriate. </li></ul> <p>10% Other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>This position pays $21.32 per hour and is in pay schedule and range 02-11. Compensation will be set in accordance with the State Compensation Plan.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>This is a Limited Term Employment (LTE) position and will not automatically lead to permanent state employment or be entitled to the same benefits as permanent employees.</p> <p>More about LTE positions:</p> <p>1) Offer a great opportunity to gain experience and learn about careers at the WI Department of Natural Resources.</p> <p>2) Provide opportunities for individuals to enhance their resumes with skills learned on the job.</p> <p>3) May accommodate flexibility for part-time or full-time work hours and seasonal schedules. If both LTE positions are at the same agency, the positions must be bona fide different positions. Each individual LTE position allows for maximum of 1039 hours in a twelve-month period.</p> <p>Special Requirements:</p> <p>1) Residency: To be considered for this position, you must be a resident of the State of Wisconsin.</p> <p>A Wisconsin resident is a person who:</p> <p>a. Has established a residence, as defined in s. 6.10(1), in this state not less than 10 days earlier;</p> <p>b. Has resided in this state for not less than a total of one year out of the immediately preceding 5 years;</p> <p>c. Is eligible to register to vote in this state; or</p> <p>d. Is the spouse of a person meeting the requirements of par. (a), (b), or (c)." s.230.03(12), Wis. Stats.</p> <p>2) Background Checks: The Department of Natural Resources conducts criminal background checks on final applicants prior to a job offer. The work effort will include learning the DNR BRRTS database system. </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience with public records and/or records retention. </li><li>Experience with a Wisconsin state agency or the DNR specifically. </li><li>Ability to lift record boxes of 10 lbs or more. </li></ul> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>Click the "Apply for Job" button and follow the directions.
