Our company may be 60 years old, but the real growth is just getting started.</p> <p>The Role:</p> <p>The Manufacturing Team Leader is responsible for coordinating the safe, efficient and quality manufacturing of products. As a working lead, the position will coordinate daily activities of assigned full-time and temporary employees, provide the necessary training on processes, and work with the 2nd Shift Packaging Supervisor to meet quality, safety, schedule adherence, operational efficiency, and production transaction accuracy goals. This role is applicable for either the filling/packaging and blending and compression as assigned.</p> <p>What You Will Do:</p> <ul> <li>Direct production team in the efficient operation of the batching or filling/packaging area as assigned. </li><li>Provide daily direction and training to area employees. </li><li>Communicate the daily production schedule, daily expectations and delegate work to area employees as needed. </li><li>Fill in as needed in the assigned to blending/compression and filling/packaging areas to complete production schedule. </li><li>Ensure work order compliance and accurate Syspro transactions by regularly monitoring transaction accuracy. </li><li>Training new employees in the operation of assigned filling/packaging and blending/compression equipment. </li><li>Responsible for Operating Equipment Efficiency (OEE) performance of assigned production lines </li><li>Coordinate quick and efficient line changeovers to maximize uptime (meet standards). </li><li>Collect measurable and meaningful key performance metrics, analyze results and make process improvement recommendations based on the data. </li><li>Lead safety awareness and compliance for team by enforcing OSHA regulations and company policies. </li><li>Recommend production department improvements to increase safety awareness </li><li>Ensure adherence to customer and plant quality specifications through enforcement of plant quality policy (SOPs, work instructions, documented specifications, etc.) </li><li>Direct daily housekeeping efforts in the area. </li><li>Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
