This large, experienced workforce enables Blythe Development to self-perform 80% of site groundwork, which gives them greater control than competitors who must subcontract the bulk of the job.</p> <p>General Description</p> <p>The Pipe Layer is responsible for assembling, connecting, and constructing pipe systems for storm and sanitary sewers, drains, and water mains. This job description may also perform a wide variety of tasks, transferring from one task to another as the workflow dictates.</p> <p>Key Duties</p> <ul> <li>Lay pipe for storm or sanitary sewer, drains, and water mains </li><li>Configure pipe routes </li><li>Align pipes in pipeline sections </li><li>Sets laser at the proper grade for task at hand </li><li>Makes sure pipe is installed at the proper grade </li><li>Assist heavy equipment operator in proper depth for the pipe being installed </li><li>Ensures pipes are fitted and aligned properly to insure there will be no leaks </li><li>Makes sure pipe is backfilled and chalked in properly </li><li>Ensures that the trench has all the proper safety equipment in place per OSHA regulations </li><li>Flexibility with schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changes </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry 50+ lbs </li><li>Preferred: 2+ years' experience as a pipe layer </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Employee Stock Ownership Program </li><li>Paid Time Off </li><li>401k + matching </li><li>Medical, dental, vision, life, disability, supplemental insurance programs </li></ul> <p>An Equal Opportunity Employer</p> <p>Drug-Free Workplace</p>
