This role will primarily be overseeing, coordinating, and managing the service personnel and work flow of service, parts operations, and inventory management within the department.</p> <p>Position Duties/Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Develops, recruits, trains, and directly manages the service and operations team </li><li>Manages inventory processes in order to maximize dollar utilization. </li><li>Execution of all Grade Control and Mining technology support strategies to support financial targets </li><li>Responsible for operations management with focus on customer strategies, new technology development, product support, including bench service, field service, phone support, training, and inventory management. </li><li>Meet or exceed market share objectives, achieving profitability with a high level of customer and employee satisfaction </li><li>Ensure parts and service areas are in excellent, safe operating condition </li><li>Monitor and comply with all safety policies, procedures, guidelines, and laws as they pertain to staff and customers within the work area. </li><li>Strategically plan business initiatives, providing both short and long-term strategic direction </li><li>Budgets and manages training and support revenue and expenses to ensure targeted levels of profitability </li><li>Serves as liaison with CAT, Trimble, and Michigan CAT </li><li>Actively engages with the Sales Manager on the Sales Funnel to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction </li><li>Actively oversees the Field Service Remote Support Team </li></ul> <p>Occasional Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Develop new processes to improve efficiency and provide the highest quality repairs </li><li>Administer and track warranty claims to ensure the customer and company receive items they are warranted </li><li>Assist sales personnel in pricing installation and customer training to maximize customer satisfaction </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for the execution and interpretation of policies and for the successful operation of assigned units. Has authority for hiring and disciplining employees. May be responsible for directing the work of first-line supervisors. </li></ul> <p>Position Requirements</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED </li><li>7 years or more of experience with machine control technology </li><li>2 years or more of management/leadership experience </li></ul> <p>Preferred</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in business related field (Business Management, Finance, Accounting, etc.) </li><li>10 years or more of experience with machine control technology, preferably Trimble equipment </li><li>3 years or more of management/ leadership experience </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities</p> <p>The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Independently determines the approach to take and the methods to use. Interprets policy in terms of objectives. Informs manager of unusual situations with far reaching implications. </li><li>Major responsibilities typically require creativity and latitude. Employee typically operates with specific objectives but often few written or unwritten procedures as guidelines.
