Discover your opportunities at Yale!</p> <p>Hourly Range</p> <p>27.74</p> <p>Overview Under the direction of the Stockroom Manager, the position is responsible for managing the financial systems for the Kline & Medical School Stockrooms. The position also provides administrative and material handling support for the Stockrooms. Maintain filing system for placed orders, received orders, invoiced orders and other items as needed. Process invoices for payment in Workday. Maintain database of placed and invoiced orders. Complete monthly invoice statements researching and identifying inaccurate charges. Work with vendors to ensure accounts are up to date; reviewing and requesting statements and invoice copies. Work with vendors to resolve shipping errors, damaged products and backorders. Performs clerical functions incidental to stock activities. May perform other Stockroom duties as assigned Including picking, packing & delivering supplies, stocking shelves, checking out customers, etc. Required Skills and Abilities 1. Strong computing skills, including advanced level of excel, specifically pivot tables. 2. Well developed analytical, organizational and detail oriented skills; commitment to accuracy is essential. 3. Proven ability to work productively under pressure with constant and varied interruptions, take initiative to prioritize competing assignments and ensure critical tasks are accomplished within time constraints. 4. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Superior customer service maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude. 5. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with coworkers and supervisor in a team oriented environment. Ability to work independently and effectively with a wide range of individuals, including research staff.</p> <p>Principal Responsibilities</p> <ol> <li>Provides specialized information on administrative, academic, financial aid, and procedural matters to students, prospective students, faculty, and staff. 2. Assists staff, faculty and students with the completion of forms. Identifies and resolves errors through contact with students and University departments. Maintains logs and records of activities. 3. Compiles statistical data and information. Establishes and maintains filing systems. 4. Uses computer terminal to input and retrieve data. Merges and manipulates filing systems. Monitors and reconciles financial data. 5. Keyboards letters, memoranda and other materials. Composes general written material. 6. Schedules and coordinates conferences, meetings, appointments, and classrooms. 7. May oversee and instruct support staff. 8. Performs clerical functions incidental to office activities. Required Education and Experience Four years of related work experience, two of them in the same job family at the next lower level, and high school level education; or two years of related work experience and an Associate's degree; or an equivalent combination of experience and education. </li></ol> <p>Background Check Requirements</p> <p>All candidates for employment will be subject to pre-employment background screening for this position, which may include motor vehicle, DOT certification, drug testing and credit checks based on the position description and job requirements.
