<p>STANDARD IRON</p> <p>Job Description: MIG Welder (All Welders encouraged to apply)</p> <p>Amazing shift premiums with wages Up to $30+/ hr.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>(Other duties may be assigned)</p> <ul> <li> <p>Perform MIG welding on mild steel materials ranging from 20 gauge to 1-inch thickness.</p> </li><li> <p>Fabricate hydraulic tanks, fuel tanks, fenders, platforms, and other sheet metal assemblies in accordance with prescribed procedures and quality standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate proficiency in all welding positions using established welding fundamentals.</p> </li><li> <p>Obtain and maintain AWS D1.1 GMAW and AWS D1.3 GMAW qualifications within the designated training period.</p> </li><li> <p>Read and interpret weld symbols, blueprints, and work orders to ensure proper fit-up and accuracy.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform set-ups for welding operations and select appropriate metal finishing tools such as grinders and abrasives to achieve required finishes.</p> </li><li> <p>Safely operate lifting and control devices (cranes, positioners, magnets, hooks, fixtures, templates, etc.) to move and position materials as needed.</p> </li></ul> <p>OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li> <p>Perform additional work-related activities as required to support production operations.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in efforts to organize, control, and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.</p> </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li> <p>Obtain welding qualification with a minimum score of 75% on the welding assessment. Hosted by Employer.</p> </li><li> <p>Have experience in Mig welding operations. Tig is a bonus.</p> </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li> <p>Previous welding experience preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>High school diploma or GED (or equivalent) required.</p> </li></ul>
