<p>NOVO Building Products has an opening for a CDL-A Truck Driver at our Allentown, PA distribution warehouse. This position includes a dedicated truck and regional/local routes. Our drivers deliver millwork products to customers across a designated region.</p> <p>This position is out 1-2 nights per week.</p> <p>CDL-A Drivers receive:</p> <ul> <li>Hourly Pay! $23 - 33/hr. based on experience (approx. earning potential with overtime $57k - 91k annually) </li><li>$45 per diem for any overnights </li><li>Health Benefits at 60 days! </li><li>401k with generous company match </li><li>9 Paid Holidays </li><li>Paid Time Off </li><li>Home every weekend!! </li><li>Newer (dedicated) tractors and trailers </li><li>Trailer with Side Curtains </li><li>Paid Breaks, fueling time, trip inspections </li></ul> <p>Additionally, our drivers have:</p> <ul> <li>No touch freight and no lumpers </li><li>No Backhauls </li><li>Less than 30 minutes wait when unloading </li><li>Dependable/driver-focused dispatch </li></ul> <p>Essential Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Drives tractor-trailers or straight trucks to deliver materials and merchandise to customers as directed by the Logistics Department. </li><li>Performs inspection of tractor and trailer before each start drive and post-drive per company and DOT (Department of Transportation) policies and regulations. </li><li>Communicate any discrepancies, product issues, or safety issues with the Fleet Supervisor. </li><li>Keeps required fuel, stop-per-mile, trip sheets, and DOT e-logs accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with all regulatory requirements </li><li>Adheres to all DOT and Company safety and traffic regulations. </li><li>Scales load before departure of home domicile </li><li>Supervises the unloading of materials at their destination and maintains all delivery/pick-up related paperwork, noting and reporting discrepancies on Bills of Lading, delivery tickets, and other company-required documents. </li><li>Opens and closes curtains and secures loads by ratcheting down straps on trailers to facilitate loading and unloading multiple times per route. </li><li>May assist in duties within the warehouse, meeting requirements of material handler position. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualification</p> <ul> <li>Must have CDL Class A certification </li><li>Effectively perform all essential functions, including physical requirements. </li><li>Acceptable motor vehicle record. </li><li>Basic math, interpersonal/team, and reasoning skills </li><li>Ability to read, understand, and carry out written procedures and standard work instructions. </li><li>Must be 18 years of age or older. </li><li>Flexibility in scheduling - able to work overtime as needed </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Two to three years preferred commercial driving experience. </li><li>High School Diploma or GED </li></ul> <p>Travel Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Travel as necessary to ensure customer deliveries are made accurately and on time. </li><li>It may require overnight travel </li></ul> <p>About the Company</p> <p>Novo Building Products is an industry-leading manufacturer and distributor of stair parts, mouldings, doors, specialty millwork, and a variety of board products.
