<p>Research Assistant II, BioA</p> <p>Madison, WI</p> <p>As a Research Assistant in our Bioanalytical team, you will aid with experiments and with analytical and routine scientific procedures according to protocols. Duties include and are not limited to.</p> <ul> <li>Analyze biological or chemical samples and/or develop/validates methodologies for various compounds and components in compliance with appropriate standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory agency guidelines. Compile and report result to management. </li><li>Organizes, conducts and evaluates analytical results and testing. </li><li>Maintains study documentation and laboratory records. </li><li>Independently sets-up, maintains, operates and performs routine and non-routine maintenance on general equipment, including problem identification and resolution. </li><li>Performs quality control review of data. </li><li>Informs Study Director, Principal Investigator and/or management of any problems and/or deviations that may affect integrity of the data; participates in corrective action of problems. </li><li>Assists in setting up and performing method development and validation of various analytes in a variety of matrices. </li><li>Performs complex analyses using unfamiliar or new methods, asking for scientific guidance as needed. </li><li>Make suggestions for modifications in test methods or procedures. </li><li>Provides input and participates in project meetings, plans, monitors and guides project work. </li><li>Participates in client visits as needed, assists in communicating technical information. </li><li>Participates in process improvement initiatives. </li><li>Assists in evaluation of data for incorporation into written reports. </li></ul> <p>Education/Qualifications/Experience:</p> <ul> <li>5+ months of experience performing months performing LC-MS analyzing plasma samples in fast paced pharmacokinetics environment required. </li><li>Bachelor of Science/Arts (BS/BA) degree in chemistry or related scientific field in addition to 2 or more years of experience in LCMS </li><li>Familiar with the use of standard laboratory equipment (e.g., balances, pipettes, centrifuges). </li><li>Experience with use and troubleshooting of analytical equipment. </li><li>Ability to design and independently conduct tests for chemistry projects and provide initial analysis of results. </li><li>Familiar with the use of standard laboratory equipment (e.g., balances, pipettes, centrifuges) required </li><li>6+ months of experience in regulated analytical environment (GLP preferred) required </li></ul> <p>Pay Range: $24-$28 per hour</p> <p>All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.</p> <p>Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
