<p>DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF WORK</p> <p>RATE OF PAY: $15.00 per hour</p> <p>MINIMUM AGE: 16 years</p> <p>HOURS OF WORK:</p> <p>Seasonal position; Employees in this position are scheduled to work shifts between 8:00 a.m. & 10:00 p.m. on both weekdays and weekends during the months of May through September.</p> <p>GENERAL DESCRIPTION:</p> <p>This is general caretaker work tending to the City of Dearborn's various parks throughout the city.</p> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>May assist the Park Manager, Park Ranger, or Head Lifeguard with supervision of park operations. </li><li>May assist the Park Manager, Park Ranger, or Head Lifeguard in enforcing public compliance with park rules and regulations. </li><li>Cleans park comfort stations hourly and assists with aquatic facility cleanliness as necessary. </li><li>Picks up papers and other debris throughout the entire park including aquatic facility, if applicable. </li><li>Assists picnic groups and checks permits. </li><li>Performs other related work as required or assigned. </li><li>Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance. </li></ul> <p>EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING/LICENSING REQUIREMENTS</p> <p>SPECIAL NOTE:</p> <ul> <li>Standard Health and First Aid, CPR, or Lifeguard Certification preferred. </li><li>Ability to speak Arabic is desirable. </li><li>Employees may be reassigned to a different location without prior notice. </li></ul> <p>EXAMINATION PROCEDURE:</p> <ul> <li>Qualified applicants will be scheduled for an interview. </li></ul> <p>NECESSARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Must submit to a criminal history check and a pre-employment physical/drug screen. </li></ul>
