<p>LOCATION</p> <p>In-office/non-remote in Maryville, TN</p> <p>SCOPE</p> <p>This position will be responsible for maintaining the SAP ECC System and various applications to support manufacturing and distribution operations in the Warehouse Management space. Will require both technical level experience and ability to interface with all levels of users. Additionally, this person should be able to quickly come up to speed on the current configuration and customizations (development) in the Smith & Wesson SAP system, develop and evaluate alternative solutions to business issues, and recommend the best solution based on technical and business impacts.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES</p> <ul> <li>Functional expert and key support for the SAP WM module and associated processes and secondary support for other SAP modules such as, MM, QM, and PP. </li><li>Configuration of SAP Warehouse Management related master data. </li><li>Ability to conduct SAP WM implementations from start to finish using Best Practice methods and tools. </li><li>Provide leadership in gathering, clarifying and documenting requirements for application, service and support requests. </li><li>Analyze and resolve support and enhancement requests. </li><li>Actively work with customers to analyze business needs and document business requirements. </li><li>Interface with other functional areas to implement cross-functional solutions. </li><li>Recommend revisions to SAP related business processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness. </li><li>Gather, define, and document high-level business requirements on behalf of the business process owners, subject matter experts, users, and other stakeholders. From this information, develop a detailed functional specification suitable for implementation. </li><li>Implement designs and configure the system as necessary. </li><li>Ensure that high system performance levels are achieved as part of the quality assurance and performance process. </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li><li>Regular attendance (as defined in our policies) is required </li></ul> <p>NOTE: This list presents only the principal duties of the position and is not intended to be comprehensive. The duties and responsibilities listed above may be changed or supplemented at any time in accordance with business needs and conditions.</p> <p>Competencies of the ideal candidate</p> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred. </li><li>At least 7 years' applicable experience and 1 full SAP life-cycle experience required. </li><li>Must have SAP WM configuration experience. </li><li>Experience with Serialization and Equipment Records in SAP </li></ul> <p>COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS</p> <ul> <li>Deep understanding of the SAP ECC processes, reports, and associated functionality, in Warehouse Management. </li><li>Cross Functional understanding of ECC WM, PTP, MM and other modules strongly desired. </li><li>Extensive experience with both the functional and technical aspects of interfaces with non-ECC systems. </li><li>Ability to interpret complex system customizations </li><li>Broad understanding of the integration points between the various SAP modules. </li><li>Excellent writing, verbal skills and organizational skills. </li><li>Excellent communication, analytical, inter-personal, and technical skills </li><li>Must be organized and pay attention to details. </li><li>Excellent problem solving, project management and process mapping skills. </li><li>Ability to manage projects and commitment to meeting deadlines and commitments. </li><li>Flexible work schedule, ability to work evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice, and availability to respond to emergencies. </li><li>Good command of the English language in both verbal and written skills. </li><li>Proficient computer skills </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, spreadsheet, query and database skills. </li></ul> <p>TRAINING</p> <ul> <li>Complete all necessary training as required by assigned department and position. </li><li>Participate in and follow all company initiatives. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> <ul> <li>Long periods of sitting are required, as well as long periods of working on the computer. </li><li>May need to be able to lift up to 30lbs on occasion. </li></ul> <p>NOTE: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT</p> <p>Within any of our facilities, employees may be exposed to manufacturing noise, airborne liquid chemicals, fine particulate dust, ambient temperatures, and industrial lighting. Work environment is similar to most manufacturing and distribution operations.
