<p>AUTHORIZED INSPECTOR</p> <p>Bureau Veritas is looking for a hardworking, observant, and mechanically inclined</p> <p>inspector for the metal fabrication and pressure vessel industry. WE PROVIDE TRAINING.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Performs ASME and National Board shop and field inspection services at assigned clients,</p> <p>including review and verification of code required activities, implementation and applicability of</p> <p>the manufacturers written quality control system, and witnessing of all required tests.</p> <p>Monitors client quality control system for compliance with relevant codes and requirements.</p> <p>Documents all inspection activities per established policies.</p> <p>Ensures compliance with applicable sections of the ASME Code, the National Board Inspection</p> <p>Code, and Jurisdictional requirements for the construction and repair of boilers and pressure</p> <p>vessels.</p> <p>Acquires and maintains knowledge of the applicable sections of the ASME code, the National</p> <p>Board code, and the Jurisdiction. Continually enhances knowledge through self-study, internal</p> <p>training, and approved courses.</p> <p>Required Education and/or Experience</p> <p>Must have 4 years of demonstrated experience in nuclear reactors or the boiler and pressure</p> <p>vessel industry, such as design, welding, fabrication, operation, repair, inspection, nondestructive</p> <p>examination, or quality control system oversight. A STEM BS or AS degree, CWI, or technical</p> <p>certificate may be substituted for 2 years of experience.</p> <p>Must have a high school diploma</p> <p>Must complete a 2-week preparatory training course provided by Bureau Veritas on ASME</p> <p>Sections I, IV, V, VIII, IX, and B31.1.</p> <p>Must be able to obtain a National Board Authorized Inspector Commission with "R" Endorsement.</p> <p>Obtaining this commission requires attendance at a 72-hour course and a 32-hour course</p> <p>provided by the National Board, passing (2) exams administered by the National Board, and 80hours</p> <p>of on-the-job training with another Commissioned Inspector.</p> <p>OR</p> <p>Must have a National Board Authorized Inspector Commission with "R" Endorsement.</p> <p>Competencies</p> <p>Ability to read, write, speak clearly and informatively, use a computer, and perform basic</p> <p>arithmetic.</p> <p>Ability to understand and interpret the boiler and pressure vessel codes.</p> <p>Ability to interact with clients.</p> <p>Ability to apply industry knowledge, technical skill, and sound business practice to decision</p> <p>making.</p> <p>Ability to adhere to established company policies, directives, and procedures, and to ensure</p> <p>accurate and timely reporting and submission of results for assigned activities.</p>
