<p>Akkodis is seeking a Senior Security Engineer for a Contract with a client in Boston, MA. You will develop and manage Proofpoint OCR, EDM, and IDM configurations to enhance enterprise email security workflows.</p> <p>Rate Range: $40/hour to $45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.</p> <p>Senior Security Engineer job responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Deploying and configuring Proofpoint capabilities such as OCR, EDM, IDM, and policy logic to enhance email security posture.</p> </li><li> <p>Developing Proofpoint reports, dashboards, and policy-based detections to support monitoring, compliance, and threat mitigation.</p> </li><li> <p>Operationalizing the Proofpoint platform by creating SOPs, supporting triage workflows, and driving incident remediation activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Investigating email security alerts, performing root-cause analysis, and escalating issues to ensure timely resolution.</p> </li><li> <p>Supporting use-case development by gathering requirements, validating outputs, and contributing to project delivery efforts.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintaining documentation, updating platform configurations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize security operations.</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.</p> </li><li> <p>6-8 years of experience in email security, incident management, or security operations with direct Proofpoint platform exposure.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong hands-on experience deploying and managing Proofpoint capabilities (OCR, EDM, IDM), including policy creation, report development, and platform operationalization (SOPs, triage, remediation).</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to support use-case development and project delivery with clear communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.</p> </li></ul> <p>If you are interested in this role, then please click APPLY NOW.
