Opportunity for extended days in the summer to conduct summer evaluations.</p> <p>Department: Special Education</p> <p>Reports To: Child Find Coordinator</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES: The Child Find Team is responsible for conducting initial screenings and comprehensive evaluations to determine eligibility for special education services for children age 3-5. At this time, the demands in the Child Find department will require 2 days per week, with the potential to add additional days as the needs increase. Until that time, this position will support 2 days per week providing direct services for PK-12 and adjusted based on the demand in Child Find, as well as other duties as assigned. The following are the skills and requirements necessary:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Knowledgeable about all domains of child development</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledgeable and experienced with special education processes and procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Strong assessment and diagnostic skills to evaluate speech and language development</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to complete evaluations and paperwork in an accurate and efficient manner is required</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to determine eligibility for speech language services and educational disabilities</p> </li><li> <p>Develop high quality and legally compliant IEPs</p> </li><li> <p>Share results of evaluation and eligibility in a family friendly manner</p> </li><li> <p>Desire to grow as a member of the IEP team</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to self-reflect and work effectively and efficiently</p> </li><li> <p>Foster positive relationships with all stakeholders (families, team mates, building partners, etc)</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with families with diverse experiences, backgrounds and languages</p> </li></ul> <p>Collaboration and active listening with all stakeholders</p> <p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree: in Speech-Language Pathology. </li><li>Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC): from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred </li><li>CDE License: Special Service Provider License with endorsement in Speech Language Pathology </li></ul> <p>Links to Important Job Information:</p> <p>Benefits Information</p> <p>Salary Schedules</p> <p>Leaves Information</p> <p>Non-Discrimination Notice</p> <p>All future correspondence will be handled via the email address you provided in your online application.
