<p>Position Title: A la Carte Server</p> <p>Position Reports to: Dining Operations Manager</p> <p>Employee Categories: Full Time Year-Round; Benefit Eligible OR Part Time Year-Round</p> <p>FLSA Category: Non-Exempt; Hourly Position</p> <p>Hourly Rate: Up to $30/hour depending on experience</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Complete the set up, cleanup, and re- stocking of all areas pertaining to a la carte </li><li>Be willing and able to communicate courteously and politely with members daily </li><li>Provide service and enhanced dining experience by following proper service procedures and by exceeding member expectations </li><li>Proper serving and clearing of food and beverages </li><li>Knowledge of our menu and being able to answer questions about ingredients or cooking techniques </li><li>Knowledge of our house wine selections, including the grape and region; vintage is a bonus </li><li>Ability to present and pour a bottle of wine or champagne </li><li>Attend menu tasting which occurs every 6 weeks </li><li>Attend additional training classes as announced, i.e. wine training, and banquet training </li><li>Knowledge of and efficient use of the POS system </li><li>Serve with banquet staff at occasional large functions or weddings </li><li>Maintain a professional demeanor, work harmoniously with others, and strive to excel. </li><li>Additional duties/ projects as assigned by management </li></ul> <p>Other Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Previous serving experience required; minimum 1 year</p> </li><li> <p>Exposure to a private club environment or high-end experience is preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent Food and Beverage knowledge</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to bend and reach for items off shelf, carry trays, lift up to 30lbs</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to stand for 8 to 10 hours</p> </li><li> <p>Use touch screen for POS system</p> </li><li> <p>Basic reading and writing skills; ability to speak English conversationally</p> </li><li> <p>Willing to get required TIPs Certification</p> </li></ul>
