<p>Special Education Instructional Facilitator - Central Office JobID: 517</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>Student Support Services/Inclusion Facilitator</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>5/21/2026</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Special Education</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>06/04/2026</p> <p>Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>TITLE:Special Education Instructional Facilitator</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>TERMS OF</p> <p>EMPLOYMENT:</p> <ul> <li>Certification in Special Education </li><li>Five years successfully teaching special education </li><li>Master's Degree in Education, preferred not required </li><li>Demonstrated Knowledge of Special Education Records Systems, required </li><li>Proficient in Using Technology, required </li><li>Other qualifications specified by the parish* </li></ul> <p>12 Months</p> <p>REPORTS TO:Supervisor of Special Education</p> <p>PAY FACTOR:</p> <p>JOB GOAL:</p> <p>1.333</p> <p>To facilitate the implementation of effective and efficient instructional program designed to meet the needs of students with disabilities.</p> <p>PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Works directly with teachers in complying with all special education district policies and practices. </li><li>Assists special education teachers and service providers in completing all required records and paperwork needed for students with disabilities. </li><li>Coaches and trains special education teachers and service providers on best practices in completing all paperwork. </li><li>Visit schools and works with teachers and other school personnel in developing effective educational interventions and curriculum goals for students with disabilities. </li><li>Provides technical assistance and support to all teachers for instructional improvement in order to meet the needs of students with disabilities. </li><li>Develops and provides in-service training to school personnel regarding best practice to meet the needs of students with disabilities. </li><li>Provides on-going consultation to school personnel in dealing with students with disabilities experiencing academic and behavior problems </li><li>Works collaboratively with school administrators and teaching personnel regarding the performance of students with disabilities. </li><li>Include ideas for differentiated instruction. </li><li>Be fluent in technology with the ability to pull data from various technical programs. </li><li>Plan and provide Professional Development to teachers and administration on best practices in teaching students with disabilities. </li><li>Attends weekly staffing meetings to gain information and provide input. </li><li>Monitors IEPs and Progress Reports for compliance. </li><li>Provides oversight and management for Special Education Reporting (SER) by reviewing, monitoring and submitting IEPs. </li><li>Develops and disseminates all necessary reports from SER. </li><li>Assists with LDOE annual reporting. </li><li>Reviews and prepares the SER report for Child Count. </li><li>Collaborates with Special Education Supervisor with IDEA budget and grant. </li><li>Manages all aspects of the special education records. </li><li>Ensures confidentiality of all students and records. </li><li>Perform duties in a professional, accurate, and timely manner. </li><li>Upholds expectations of responsibilities accepted by the signing of this job description. </li><li>Performs any additional duties assigned by the Superintendent and/or evaluator. </li></ul> <p>PROFESSIONAL ETHICS</p> <ul> <li>Maintains good attendance. </li><li>Reports to work on time. </li><li>Displays professional ethics on and off duty. </li><li>Adheres to all Iberville Parish School Board's Policies </li><li>Reports job-related injuries within 24 hours of work accident to the immediate supervisor. </li><li>Assumes responsibility for implementation of emergency procedures. </li><li>Seeks and maintains a positive attitude of promoting school and community relations. </li><li>Participates in and promotes harmonious working relationships with students, colleagues, parents and community members. </li><li>Attends meetings as directed. </li><li>Serves on task force and decision-making committees, when appropriate. </li></ul>
