<p>Manufacturing Process Engineer</p> <p>Allied Mineral Products is a leading manufacturer of monolithic refractories worldwide, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer who will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This role involves supporting new product introductions, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The position requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and collaboration across multiple teams, including Production, Quality, Maintenance, and R&D. The role will also provide technical support for all North America sites.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost. </li><li>Design and implement process enhancements, ensuring scalability and repeatability for new product introductions. </li><li>Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, flow diagrams, PFMEAs, and control plans. </li><li>Maintain and update SAP routings to ensure accurate process flow and production standards. </li><li>Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process deviations and failures. </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Maintenance, R&D) to resolve technical issues and align on process changes. </li><li>Develop Process Audits to ensure compliance with Allied's Quality Systems. </li><li>Monitor process performance using KPIs and statistical tools; recommend and execute corrective actions as needed. </li><li>Support lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects using methodologies such as Six Sigma. </li><li>Assist in the design and development of tooling, fixtures, and equipment to optimize production. </li><li>Perform time studies, process validation, and failure mode effects analysis (FMEA). </li><li>Troubleshoot process deviations and drive improvements in throughput, yield, and product quality. </li><li>Support equipment selection, layout design, and commissioning for new or upgraded production lines. </li><li>Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards across all operations. </li><li>Train operators and technicians on new processes, equipment, and best practices. </li><li>Support all North America sites as needed.
