<p>Job Description</p> <p>Safety Technician</p> <p>Location, 2701 Refinery Rd, Quincy, IL 62305</p> <p>Shift: Day</p> <p>Job Type: Full Time</p> <p>Job Duties</p> <ul> <li>Support and assist the Health & Safety (H&S) Manager in developing and implementing safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. </li><li>Conduct regular safety inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions. </li><li>Organize and conduct safety meetings for colleagues. </li><li>Assist in incident investigations and analyze accidents, near misses, and hazardous conditions to identify root causes. </li><li>Maintain/update/upload safety records, including incident reports, training materials, and safety data sheets. </li><li>Collaborate with shift management and department heads to develop and update safety protocols and procedures. </li><li>Conduct safety audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with safety standards. </li><li>Enforce known safety and health rules. </li><li>Provide daily follow-up on all safety incidents under investigation. </li><li>Support in any emergency or security situations. </li><li>Build colleague commitment and enthusiasm for safety through effective leadership and influence. </li><li>Participate and/or run the Safety Pillar Team. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>18 years or older </li><li>High School Diploma or GED Equivalent </li><li>Valid Driver's License </li><li>Strong Organization and Communication Skills. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. </li><li>Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Sphera (Incident Tracking Database) </li><li>Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation </li><li>Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc. with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) </li><li>Ability to work in elevated areas </li><li>Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written) </li></ul> <p>Excited about this role but don't think you meet every requirement listed?
