<p>The department of Mathematical Sciences seeks applications for a visiting assistant professor of mathematics. The successful candidate should have expertise in teaching undergraduate mathematics courses, including precalculus, calculus, linear algebra, and introduction to abstract mathematics. Other possible courses support general education requirements for a variety of majors.</p> <p>Successful candidates will have a passion for teaching and supporting the success of students from a variety of backgrounds.</p> <p>This is a full-time, visiting appointment with a 9-month teaching contract for 24-credit load hours.</p> <p>Anticipate courses</p> <p>FALL: MATH 170, MATH 191, MATH 220; WINTER: To be determined.</p> <p>REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Experience</p> <p>Mathematics teaching experience at the undergraduate level preferred</p> <p>Education</p> <p>Ph.D. in mathematics or related field</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
