<p>Job Title: Director - Solution and Process Governance</p> <p>Reports to: Sr Manager - Digital Strategy & Cust Exp</p> <p>Reports in office to Boston, MA</p> <p>The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from: $167,428.-$209,286</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Director Solution and Process Governance is a key member of Avangrid's Customer Experience and Digital Transformation team, responsible for ensuring alignment between business processes and enabling technologies across the enterprise. This role leads efforts to harmonize solutions and governance frameworks across multiple jurisdictions, driving scalability, compliance, and strategic consistency. Acting as a central point of coordination, the Director fosters cross-functional collaboration to support enterprise wide digital and operational transformation. The position ensures that governance practices align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and customer needs, enabling unified and optimized processes. <p>Define and Lead Governance Strategy</p> <p>Responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive governance framework that aligns business processes and enabling technologies across Avangrid's operating companies.</p> <p>Oversee Process and Solution Alignment</p> <p>Accountable for driving harmonization of business processes and technology platforms across jurisdictions to ensure operational efficiency, scalability, and compliance.</p> <p>Align Governance Roadmaps with Business Goals</p> <p>Tasked with translating corporate objectives into actionable governance roadmaps and ensuring alignment across business units and technology teams.</p> <p>Manage and Mentor Governance Teams</p> <p>Leads cross-functional governance working groups, providing strategic direction, coaching, and support to enable effective collaboration and execution.</p> <p>Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration</p> <p>Works closely with IT, Operations, Regulatory, Legal, and Customer Experience teams to ensure unified governance and seamless integration of processes and technologies.</p> <p>Champion Standardization and Optimization</p> <p>Promotes adoption of standardized processes and platforms that support scalability, interoperability, and regulatory compliance.</p> <p>Drive Agile Governance Practices</p> <p>Implements Agile principles within governance activities to encourage iterative improvement, transparency, and responsiveness across teams.</p> <p>Monitor Governance Effectiveness</p> <p>Evaluates governance performance using KPIs, audit results, and stakeholder feedback, and initiates continuous improvement actions.</p> <p>Manage Stakeholder Expectations</p> <p>Serves as the primary liaison between executive leadership and operational teams, providing regular updates and ensuring alignment across entities.</p> <p>Ensure Financial Stewardship</p> <p>Manage governance-related budgets and resources effectively, ensuring investments deliver strong ROI and strategic value across Avangrid operating companies.</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Education & Experience Required: </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Business, Digital, Technology, or related field </li><li>10+ years of experience in process governance or digital transformation, Minimum of 3 years of experience in a regulated utility preferred </li><li>Strong understanding of governance frameworks, process standardization, and cross-functional alignment in complex or regulated environments </li></ul> <p>Skills/Abilities</p> <p>Leadership & Strategic Thinking</p> ensuring compliance and enhanced customer experience.</p> <p>Analytical & Financial Acumen</p> <p>Proficient in data-driven decision-making, performance analysis, ROI evaluation, and budget management for governance initiatives.</p> <p>Communication & Influence</p> <p>Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex governance concepts to executive audiences and influence decisions across the organization.</p> <p>Regulatory & Industry Awareness</p> <p>Comprehensive understanding of utility sector regulations, compliance requirements, and emerging trends in energy and digital transformation.</p> <p>Vendor & Partner Management</p> <p>Experienced in managing third-party vendors and technology partners, including RFP development, contract negotiation, and performance oversight.</p> <p>Innovation & Market Awareness</p> <p>Knowledgeable in emerging technologies (IoT, AI, smart grid) and global governance trends, with the ability to identify and
