<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Permatex is currently looking for a Team Lead in our Manufacturing Department on 2nd shift. 2nd Shift hours are from 3:00pm - 11:00pm, Monday - Friday.</p> <p>Pay Rate is $23 - $28 an hour depending on experience. There is also a $.50/hr shift differential for 2nd shift.</p> <p>BASIC FUNCTION</p> <p>To operate, oversee and coordinate shift production, production scheduling, oversee maintenance/PM and changeover activities. Required to operate filling and packaging equipment according to procedures given by Manufacturing Manager. Creating a collaborative team environment with an open communication culture.</p> <p>JOB DUTIES</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work with Manufacturing Manager to coordinate production in an efficient manner while attaining quality. </li><li>Performs manually and/or tends machines which perform various packaging functions such as, filling, labeling, packing, or closing containers. </li><li>Responsible for adjustments, set-ups, changeovers, maintenance, cleaning and general operation of various filling and packaging machines. </li><li>Ability to shut down equipment when problems arise and make informed necessary corrections working across numerous departments. </li><li>References daily production schedule, utilizes ERP system, and updating daily metrics as needed. </li><li>Coordinates and performs routine preventative maintenance of equipment. </li><li>Identifies, isolates and corrects equipment malfunctions </li><li>Responsible for accurate and timely reporting of production, labor and scrap incurred during the shift </li><li>Assures that associates are trained in operations and changeover procedures for appropriate filling and packaging lines </li><li>Supervises/directs operators and temporary staffing as well as administers policies and procedures. </li><li>Promotes and follows all Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality guidelines and procedures. </li><li>Listen to team members' feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts on the production floor, reporting incidents appropriately to Manufacturing Manager and Human Resources if necessary. </li><li>Participate in training and professional development activities. </li></ul> <p>POSITIONS SUPERVISED/ PRIOR LEADERSHIP ROLES (IF ANY)</p> <p>Machine Operators and Temporary Staff.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma/GED required </li><li>5-7 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment in a supervisory or lead role; preferably filling and packaging experience. </li><li>Must be able to speak, understand, read, and write English. </li><li>Must have ability to perform simple math calculations. </li><li>Must be computer literate. </li><li>Must be certified to drive all types of forklift. </li></ul>
