<p>Compucom Systems, Inc. provides end-to-end IT managed services to enable the digital workplace for enterprise, midsize and small businesses. We're looking for a Desktop Special Delivery to join our team.</p> <p>The Desktop Tech role includes occasional travel to regional satellite locations, including educational facilities, to provide onsite support. In addition to printer support, candidates may diagnose and repair PC, laptop, and peripheral hardware at the component level. The position may also involve assisting other technical teams with break/fix ticket overflow which may include entering patient facing areas.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Work with client personnel- onsite facilities management and MPS lead/management </li><li>Will be working with one additional tech onsite supporting the client's printer services </li><li>Devices are HP Printers- recently replaced Xerox with HP </li><li>Serves as the primary KDC (Key Device Contact) supporting and coordinating activities with the client's Managed Print Services (MPS) team. </li><li>Service Insight ticketing system- will receive work orders- responsible for keeping them updated and closed out once work has been completed and verified as resolved. </li><li>Responsible for daily floor walks- visiting each printer with the offices supported on a daily basis to determine needs of the printers (toner, error, paper, jam, maintenance, etc.) </li><li>Assist with client audits- performing printer inventory and supply inventory </li><li>IP assignments, updating printer password as needed </li><li>Manager tickets through Service Insight ticketing system </li><li>Troubleshoot printer issues report by the client staff </li><li>Resolve printer technical issues onsite and/or remote diagnostics </li></ul> <p>Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Strong knowledge of PC and printer hardware with the ability to perform basic diagnostics and repairs. </li><li>CompTIA A+ certification preferred. </li><li>Experience supporting HP printing and computing products is highly desirable. </li><li>OEM repair experience, OEM certification for HP is a plus. </li><li>Basic understanding of network troubleshooting and cabling. </li><li>Sound understanding of customer support, operations, and processes. </li><li>Able to communicate effectively both written and verbally, with key stakeholders, leadership, partners, team members, other organizations, and customers. </li><li>Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality. </li><li>Demonstrated capability to achieve results in a fast-paced, client driven environment. </li><li>Strong desire and enthusiasm to serve customers. </li></ul> <p>Wage Range:</p> <p>The hourly rate for this position is between $19.30 - $25.75 per hour, unless the local minimum wage is higher.
