The successful candidate will support a positive academic, athletic, and social environment for student-athletes while creating a culture of excellence and ethics.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. </li><li>Ability to build rapport and students, coaches and staff. </li><li>Skills to help student-athletes improve through training / coaching. </li><li>Ability to complete work within deadlines under little guidance. </li><li>Ability to develop and sustain relationships with prospective student athletes, parents, and coaches. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required. </li><li>Knowledge and basic proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel </li><li>Knowledge of applicable NCAA Rules and regulations. </li><li>Experience playing at the collegiate level preferred. </li><li>Master's degree preferred. </li><li>Coaching experience at the collegiate or professional level preferred. </li></ul> <p>Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>60% - Assist with coaching and development of student-athletes - (Essential) </li><li>20% - Assist with recruitment of student-athletes - (Essential) </li><li>10% - Assist with organization and execution of all practice sessions and meetings - (Essential) </li><li>10% - Complete other tasks as assigned by the head coach - (Essential) </li></ul> <p>Special Instructions to Applicants:</p> <p>Applicants will be asked to complete the online application through Drake's job board and provide: a resume/cv, a cover, and contact information for three references.</p> <p>Have Questions?</p> <p>Question about the application process, working at Drake, reasonable accommodations, benefits, or additional information about Drake or Des Moines, Iowa may be directed to Drake Human Resources.
