<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.</p> <p>Provides direct clinical services that includes, Assessments, Individual/Family Therapy, Crisis Management, Group Therapy and other services as needed to an identified population of patients with severe and persistent mental illness. Ensures documentation of all services provided follows established guidelines.</p> <p>Provides consultation/education activities and case management services on behalf of patients served to community agencies as requested, under the supervision of the Clinic Director of the Hilton Head office.</p> <p>Participates in staffing with treatment team. Supervision with Supervisor. Staff cases with physicians, ensure all patients' records of treatment is available. Develop treatment goals and objectives with patients. Complete required training by SCDMH. Attend at least one professional development training course per year.</p> <p>Provides consultation and assists in coordination of hospital admissions and placement of patients served. You must be a US Citizen, you must be licensed to practice independently in the state where you are hired, and you must have unpaid government or commercial school loans. There is a two year service commitment required as well. Confirmation of qualifying for this loan repayment program is the responsibility of every applicant - we cannot guarantee your qualification.</p> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>If any AGENCY requirements are listed below, applicants must also meet those requirements to be considered for the position.</p> <p>State: A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field.</p> <p>DMH: Master's degree in a social science; 1 year experience in a clinical counseling program; licensure or license eligible.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Bilingual</p> <p>abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.</p> <p>Additional Comments</p> <p>The South Carolina Department of Mental Health is an Equal Employment Opportunity Agency.
