<p>Lead Engineer - Transmission Line</p> <p>Location: Tampa, FL and Orlando, FL</p> <p>Type: Full-Time</p> <p>Pay: $120K-$140K (depending on experience)</p> <p>We're looking for a Lead Engineer to drive high-voltage (HV) and extra high-voltage (EHV) overhead transmission line projects. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering, project oversight, and team mentorship. You'll be responsible for ensuring quality deliverables, meeting client deadlines, and keeping the team engaged and aligned.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Lead and manage a team of engineers, designers, and drafters</p> </li><li> <p>Set clear expectations and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee the design process including line routing, PLS-CADD modeling, structure and foundation design, clearance checks, and plan/profile development</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate with survey teams, permitting bodies, subcontractors, and vendors</p> </li><li> <p>Review and approve engineering submittals</p> </li><li> <p>Support infrastructure planning around access roads and land use (note: not responsible for direct civil design)</p> </li><li> <p>Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as a technical resource and coach for junior team members</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and maintain strong client relationships</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with project estimating and proposal development</p> </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Engineering</p> </li><li> <p>Professional Engineer (PE) license (or can Reciprocate within 3 months)</p> </li><li> <p>10+ years of transmission line design experience in the utility industry</p> </li><li> <p>Expert-level PLS-CADD</p> </li><li> <p>Strong knowledge of NESC, IEEE, ASCE, ACI standards</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working across disciplines including substation, environmental, real estate, and construction</p> </li><li> <p>Strong project management, organizational, and leadership skills</p> </li><li> <p>Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent communication skills-both technical and client-facing</p> </li><li> <p>Must pass motor vehicle check per company policy</p> </li></ul> <p>After you have applied, download our Staffmark Group WorkNOW App to receive real-time job offers and apply for additional opportunities.
