As we continue to grow our team, MIKEL is always looking for candidates that want to grow with us; learning new skills and expanding expertise while working at the cutting edge of defense technology.</p> <p>Position: Logistician I</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <ul> <li>Physically locate, count, and maintain accurate inventory records. </li><li>Utilize the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP) database to document material receipts/issues/disposal. </li><li>Verify receipt/shipping documents for accuracy; identify and report material damage and discrepancies. </li><li>Interface with customers and respond to inquiries regarding equipment status and availability. </li><li>Research NIINs, part numbers, and manufacturer numbers to ensure items meet form, fit, and function requirements. </li><li>Track Installation and Checkout (INCO) requests during each platform's modernization period. </li><li>Receive, inspect, disposition, disassemble, induct, and dispose of electronic rip-outs from recently updated technical insertions for submarine support. </li><li>Generate Material Transfer Requests (MTRs), Work Requests, shipping documents (DD1149s), return merchandise authorizations (RMAs), and disposal documents. </li><li>Compile shipping receipts (DD1149s), MTRs, failure data, work requests, part requests, and disposal documents to cross-reference data and resolve inventory discrepancies. </li><li>Maintain detailed records in databases and spreadsheets, ensuring all shipping documentation is accurate and up to date. </li><li>Process fleet requisitions as required. </li><li>Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualities:</p> <ul> <li>Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision. </li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and completeness of records. </li><li>Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. </li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and interface with customers professionally. </li><li>Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow in a dynamic work environment. </li><li>Demonstrates accountability, reliability, and a results-driven mindset. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and able to quickly learn and navigate specialized databases. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <ul> <li>No travel required for this position. </li><li>Must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a high-paced environment. </li></ul> <p>Work Location: Newport RI, minimal-to-no telework available.</p> <p>MIKEL offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package that includes Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), 401k Retirement Plan, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, Paid Time Off (PTO), and Tuition Reimbursement.</p> <p>Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance or higher is required at time of hire.
