Put simply, when it comes to transportation, we're the one you want.</p> <p>Job purpose</p> <p>Acting as Carrier Sales Representative, facilitate the achievement of business goals through sales activities including: managing a freight portfolio from pick up to delivery, provide and negotiate freight rates, building carrier relationships, leverage knowledge of the business and industry to influence and impact decision-making processes.</p> <p>Duties and responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide and negotiate freight rates to motor carriers and the internal sales team as needed to ensure maximum profitability </li><li>Coordinate available customer freight with available motor carrier equipment </li><li>Consistently provide service and support to motor carriers in an effort to build the business relationship </li><li>Provide collaboration with the Customer Sales team to streamline processes </li><li>Manage performance expectations through carrier account metrics </li><li>Communicate with motor carriers to provide tracking updates on shipments and help to resolve issues </li><li>Verify all freight charges, confirm receipt of Bill of Lading, and resolve all payables discrepancy prior to final payment to motor carrier </li><li>Identify lanes and/or carriers to source capacity and add to your network on an ongoing basis </li><li>Be available outside the office for urgent issues requiring attention </li><li>Work assigned weekend shifts (1-2 max per quarter), primarily on a Saturday </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>2+ year of prior carrier sales experience </li><li>Bachelor's Degree </li><li>Flexible; ability to change focus quickly to meet demands of market conditions and/or company needs </li><li>Able to multi-task and manage multiple software systems </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <ul> <li>PTO (Paid Time off) + Company holidays </li><li>Medical, dental, and vision healthcare </li><li>Company paid short term disability, life, and AD&D insurance </li><li>Company paid maternity and paternity leave </li><li>401k with company match </li><li>Company provided onsite gym membership </li></ul> <p>Compensation</p> <p>Compensation for this role will range between 49,000-55,000 + commission.</p>
