Specialized instruction and support can include academics, functional needs, behavioral intervention, and/or social-emotional instruction and support. The teacher must provide or supervise the use of adaptive equipment, personal care, toileting, medical care, and feeding of students if stated in the IEP. Teachers accepting positions in Preschool programs must become certified in CPI and follow all district procedures related to the use of CPI techniques.
