Are you ready to go beyond?</p> <p>Pratt & Whitney Hot Section Engineering is seeking a proactive, goal oriented, and detail-focused project engineer to work on a new Military Development program supporting the future of the PW Military engine business for decades to come. In this role you'll support the IPTL for program task execution on the LPT Module hardware and progressing your Project leadership skills to become a future IPTL at Pratt & Whitney.</p> <p>What You Will Do</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate with IPTL and help lead one or more cross functional teams to meet task and technical requirements </li><li>Identify and addresses project problems and recommends resolutions to ensure the successful completion of projects </li><li>Facilitates project tasks with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives </li><li>Prepare/present status and technical content to HSE Leadership, CIPT, and Pratt & Whitney Upper Management </li><li>Initiate and manage hardware procurement/industrial effort as the engineering technical contact </li><li>Coordinate evaluation and disposition of quality non-conformances and supplier requests for information </li><li>The ability to travel 10% of the time </li></ul> <p>Qualifications You Must Have</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field. </li><li>5 years of engineering experience with a Bachelor's degree or 3 years with an advanced degree </li><li>Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship. </li><li>Ability to work onsite in East Hartford office 5 days per week </li></ul> <p>Qualifications We Prefer</p> <ul> <li>BS or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering </li><li>The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance </li><li>Experience working in the Aerospace Industry, specifically gas turbine engines, is highly desirable </li><li>Experience with component manufacturing and associated quality requirements </li><li>Demonstrated effectiveness in working across functions, organizations, and management. </li><li>Excellent communication skills, including verbal, technical writing, and engineering presentations to all levels </li><li>Working proficiency with MS Office, Teamcenter, SAP, MS Project / scheduling software, and project management </li></ul> <p>What We Offer</p> <ul> <li>Relocation Package </li><li>Benefits </li></ul> <p>Learn More & Apply Now!</p> <p>Hot Section Engineering (HSE)-Department Overview</p> <p>Hot Section Engineering is responsible for the design, development, technology maturation and in service support of all diffuser cases, combustors, turbines (vanes, blades, rotors and cases), augmenters (military), nozzles and associated fuel systems for all military, commercial and industrial engine models and radial auxiliary power units.</p> <p>Technical disciplines in HSE include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, Durability and Product Definition.</p> <p>What Is My Role Type: In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work. This role is:</p> <p>Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.</p> <p>Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.</p> <p>This position is open to internal applicants only within Pratt & Whitney. To help sure up our military programs, we are looking to reallocate resources to USG direct charging roles and therefore consider this to be an internal to Pratt movement. We may look to open these opportunities upon more broadly once we complete the initial Pratt talent moves.</p> <p>The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
