To</p> <p>provide active supervision of children at all times. The Assistant Teacher will assist in</p> <p>establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy learning environment; support the social and</p> <p>emotional development of children; encourage the involvement of the families of the children in the Early Head Start program and support the development of relationships between children</p> <p>and their families.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High school diploma or equivalent.</p> </li><li> <p>Supervised classroom experience with infants/toddlers or young children preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of Early Childhood Development principles</p> </li><li> <p>Classroom management/supervision skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Willingness/ability to work as a team member.</p> </li><li> <p>Willingness to continue professional education and training</p> </li><li> <p>Good organizational skills.</p> </li><li> <p>History of good job attendance.</p> </li><li> <p>Must pass a criminal background check, be free from communicable disease and provide a Medical Statement prior to the first day of employment.</p> </li></ul> <p>For the full job description, click here.</p> <p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:</p> <p>Salary and work year as established by the Governing Board.
