<p>Company Overview</p> <p>Kett Engineering is a respected leader in the automotive testing industry with over 60 years of experience. We provide comprehensive support for vehicle testing and development, ensuring top-notch service through our dedicated team of professionals who are committed to quality and customer satisfaction.</p> <p>Role Summary:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain and communicate to various staff members the current and future updated testing requirements. </li><li>Track and monitor all testing requirements based on a "proof of performance" tracking factor. </li><li>Writing vehicle complaints. Ensure all necessary vehicle complaint attachments are included. </li><li>Monitor vehicle complaints within the ticket reporting system. </li><li>Assist with queries and issuing rechecks as needed. </li><li>Responsible to ensure that special testing requirements can be activated based on vehicle equipped systems. </li></ul> <p>Role Responsibilities: List essential functions in order of importance; include percentage of time spent performing each function (total should equal 100%)</p> <p>Main responsibility - assign 100% of time spent</p> <ul> <li>Gather all required testing information to share with all test locations. </li><li>Participate in meetings with different Engineers, Station Coordinator and Driver Coordinator personnel regarding testing needs for vehicles are met. </li><li>Provide the Station Coordinator and Driver Coordinator with updated testing requirements. </li><li>Guide the communication process between the Location Coordinator and/or Driver Coordinator to report testing concerns to the Testing and Engineering Specialist. </li><li>Assist the Location Coordinator and Driver Coordinator in reporting complaints by the drivers and appropriate follow-up (missing data, information, etc.) </li><li>Assisting and entering complaints into the ticket reporting system. </li><li>Consistent communication with Station Coordinator(s) and Driver Coordinator(s) to make sure that complaints are entered in a timely manner. </li><li>Ensure all necessary testing information follows the vehicle rotations to other testing stations. </li><li>Assisting with addressing queries and issuing rechecks when more information is requested by creating forms and sending them to the applicable Station Coordinator and Driver Coordinator </li><li>Common understanding that some queries can be answered best by personnel on site at the locations. </li><li>Ability to work on and maneuver around vehicles. </li><li>Assisting with coordinating vehicle scheduling as required. </li><li>Ensure special tests requests are available for each vehicle. I.E., vehicle equipped to fully function the defined special test. </li><li>Contacting responsible engineer if assigned special test is missing from the vehicle options. </li><li>Assist with special test KPI tracking. </li><li>Spend time in test vehicles to thoroughly understand all vehicle systems in an in-depth manner. </li><li>Maintain special testing instructions that are not clear or need to be modified. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications (Skills & Experiences & Education)</p> <p>Years of Relevant Experience: Minimum years of relevant experience needed to perform the job</p> <p>3+ years job related experience. Automotive background & technical experience.</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Technical training in vehicle testing or engineering field of Automotive </li><li>3+ years' experience in Engineering level vehicle testing • Engineering experience in Manufacturing / Vehicle testing environment. </li></ul> <p>Skills: General skills needed to perform the job</p> <ul> <li>Analytical and conceptual thinking - using logic and reason, creative and strategic </li><li>Communication skills - interpersonal, presentation and written </li><li>Computer savvy - skilled in use of software / Engineering tools (ALPOS, ATP, VDS) </li><li>Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Applications </li><li>Integration - joining people, processes or systems </li><li>Problem solving </li><li>Resource management </li><li>Positive employee relations / team building </li><li>Continuous improvement </li><li>Self-organized </li><li>Ability to organize and maintain a clean work environment </li><li>Environmental knowledge and reporting structure </li></ul> <p>Specialized Skills</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of current and future vehicles / systems specifically in the areas of ADAS and electronics. </li><li>Database maintenance and updates </li><li>Specific computer programs based on European Automotive Systems </li><li>Project Management • German language skills a plus. </li><li>Detailed reporting competencies at an engineering level. </li></ul> <p>Work Flexibility:</p> <ul> <li>As this is a Hybrid role aligning two stations in deferent US regions travel will be required to align with the staff and ensure processes are being followed. </li><li>Work schedule is typically 40 hours per week. </li><li>Commonly sit at a desk or table </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. </li><li>Job requires sitting, standing, and bending for approximately 8-10 hours on a daily basis. </li><li>Must be flexible and available to work overtime, and hours outside of normal demands, including weekends and Holidays. </li><li>Ability to pass Drug Screen and Background Check. </li></ul> <p>Critical Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Safety- Abides by, promotes and acknowledges all safety practices in keeping with high safety standards. </li><li>Communications- Must provide information and receive feedback in a concise, accurate and detailed manner. </li><li>Dependability- Display ability to successfully and satisfactorily complete assigned tasks. </li><li>Cooperation- Exhibit characteristics of an effective team member focused on a common goal, promotes the development of like qualities in others. </li><li>Initiative and Resourcefulness- Possess initiative to take effective action, anticipate needs and perform in accordance to resources provided. </li><li>Flexibility- Must be willing and able to expand the scope of responsibilities as dependent upon requirements of the business environment. </li><li>Commitment- Able to accept assigned tasks with a quality result as an objective. </li><li>Dedication- Demonstrate the ability to consistently perform all responsibilities with integrity. </li><li>Role Model- Serve as an example for Kett's Vision and Values. </li><li>Result Oriented- Accomplish performance targets established by Kett and the customer. </li></ul>
