<p>TO: All Teaching and Administrative Personnel Brockton Public Schools</p> <p>FROM: Dr. Kathleen Moran, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources</p> <p>SUBJECT: INSTRUCTORS FOR SMART START EXTENDED DAY PROGRAMS</p> <p>Contingent upon continued funding and program enrollment, the Smart Start Extended Day program is seeking classroom instructors for the 2025-2026 school year, during vacation and summer days. The programs are located at the Angelo, Arnone, Baker, Brookfield, Davis, Downey, George, Gilmore, Hancock, Kennedy, and Raymond Schools. This is a twelve-month program that may require working during school and summer vacations.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS: 1.MA DESE Certification required 2.Successful classroom experience 3.Excellent communication skills 4.CPR/First Aid Certification preferred 5.Safety Care Training preferred 6.Previous experience working in a Smart Start Extended Day program preferred DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.Plan and implement daily academic enrichment, recreational and project-based activities 2.Assist with successful completion of homework assignments 3.Interact with students in a supportive manner to develop positive values and enhance self-esteem 4.Work as part of a team with other staff members and site coordinators to create a safe and enriching learning environment for all students 5.Adhere to required EEC regulations for funded programs including a Background Record Check (every three years), an annual completion of EEC Essentials Training Modules, and submission of requested staff records to a confidential file in Human Resources 6.Other duties as assigned by the Director of Community Schools and the Coordinator of Extended Day Programs COMPENSATION: According to contract FUNDING SOURCE: Community Schools</p>
