<p>Kforce's Hartford, CT company that is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to support the company's financial operations and ensure accuracy in day-to-day accounting activities. This role is responsible for maintaining organized financial records, processing transactions, and providing timely reports that contribute to effective business decision-making.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, issuing payments, and tracking outstanding balances </li><li>The Bookkeeper will record all financial transactions-income, expenses, and adjustments-with precision and completeness in the accounting system </li><li>Organize and maintain financial documents, ledgers, and digital records to ensure accuracy, compliance, and easy accessibility </li><li>Reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly </li><li>Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, offering clear insights into the company's financial position </li><li>The Bookkeeper will assist with preparing documentation and reports for tax filings, collaborating with accountants or external tax professionals as needed </li><li>Support management with ad hoc financial analysis and contribute to process improvements that strengthen internal controls and efficiency* Bachelor's degree a plus </li><li>Advanced Excel experience (Vlookups, Pivot Tables, If Statements) </li><li>QuickBooks experience a plus </li></ul>
